Musikverlag in Wien, gegründet 1901, ursprünglich mit der Absicht, durch Herausgabe von Klassikerausgaben und musikpädagogischen Werken den österreichischen Bedarf zu decken und den Musikalienhandel von den deutschen Verlegern unabhängig zu machen. Ab 1907 wandte sich der Verlag der zeitgenössischen Musik zu, er zählt seither zu den führenden Verlagen jeweils neuester Musik. Der Verlagskatalog umfasst u. a. Werke von G. Mahler, A. Schönberg, K. Weill, L. Berion, A. Pärt, W. Rihm, K. Stockhausen. Seit 1994 erscheint die Alban-Berg-Gesamtausgabe. Zusammen mit Schott, Musikverlag B. Schott's Söhne, wird seit 1966 die Schönberg-Gesamtausgabe und seit 1973 die Wiener Urtext-Edition (quellenkrittische Ausgaben klassischer Musik) verlegt.
